Re: [PrimeGrid] Good Riddance 2020! Challenge starts January 14th
I'm not sure if this is a good place to put this, but I am wondering why this computer:

Is taking 8 hours to finish WUs! It is a little underclocked, to 3.6GHz I believe, and running 6 tasks of 1 thread each. If this keeps up, I'm going to have it do other things instead!

@crashtech The i7-8700K only has 12MB of L3 cache. Each DIV task currently requires 3.5MB, therefore its not able to run all tasks from L3 cache alone.
Try running 3 tasks of 4 threads.
Great job in the challenge by the way

Aww, crap. I forgot about the stupid anemic cache! Thanks, and thanks!

Didn't realize the team was running this. I switched some of my rigs over to it late last night.
