It is a robot. They are used to troll the internet and gather info from web sites.

That is how search engines know how to give you results, biodoc, but I bet you figured that out already.

As others have said. Search engines use "bots" to crawl the Internet. It's how the results of your search engine (such as Google) show up when searched.
